New Porsche Boxster and Cayman
Porsche has recently launched the second generation of its mid-engined Boxster and Cayman sports cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The highlights of the new generation are new front
headlamps and rear LED taillights, new flat-six boxer engines with more horsepower and significantly greater fuel efficiency than their predecessors, and Porsche’s new double-clutch gearbox. The new 2009 Boxster and Cayman models are offerd with two engine variants:
a 2.9-liter V6 that produces 255 horsepower in the Boxster and 265 in the Cayman, and
a 3.4-liter V6 engine with direct fuel injection that makes 310 horses in the Boxster, and
320 in the Cayman.
